Okay, the wait is over. The presents were wrapped, shipped, received and opened. Now, I can share them on my blog. Below is a set of coasters I made from my mom. I did a pour painting on top of 4″ wood tile.

Your Mom must appreciate these so much. How do you know it is safe for all surfaces, ie the paint?

I use acrylic paint which is water based. For the coasters I applied a coat of resin on top. I used ArtResin https://www.artresin.com/blogs/artresin/41788993-artresin-is-certified-non-toxic-and-safe-for-home-use. I would not suggest eating off of the coasters, but it should handle a cold or hot cup. Also apply cork to the back to protect furniture surfaces.
